This will be the player’s 19th NBA season but is LeBron James up for it?
LeBron James will be heading into his 19th NBA campaign in the 2021-22 season. He is already a legend and arguably one of the best to ever do it. But James is now 36, and there has to be an end at some point. LeBron might be in his final years but he is not taking his eyes of the prize.
It is no secret that James works incredibly hard every off-season to get to a certain fitness level that can match the younger players. In a league as competitive as NBA it is a must. This season has been no different. The General Manager of his team LA Lakers recently revealed that James is working hard and has even slimmed up for the upcoming season. This is what he said:
“I think the thing that stands out is his fitness level, and he’s slimmed up. I think .we all know LeBron studies the greats, and he adds things into his game, and I think he’s made a decision to come back a little bit leaner, and I think that’s going to bring in in explosiveness and quickness.”
James will be 37 by the end of this year. He is still working as hard as ever as revealed by the team’s general manager. He has even slimmed up a bit which will benefit him on the court.
Can Lakers win the championship again?
After a fairly disappointing end to their last campaign Lakers will try to comeback stronger than ever because that’s what champions do. Lakers have assembled a great team for the upcoming season. They will surely look to do some damage with their dangerous trio of Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook and obviously LeBron James. It will be interesting to see how far the Lakers go this season and perhaps as predicted by many even win the NBA Championship.
How do you think will LeBron James and LA Lakers perform in the upcoming season?
